Super Hero Zip Line

Never been done before, brand new to Ipswich Hospital, introducing the…

Super Hero Zip Line!

After the success of the Extreme Charity Abseil 2017 we decided to mix things up a bit and have created a brand new event for 2018. Rather than scaling down the side of the building we thought we could zip off it!

Starting at the top of the iconic Maternity Building at Ipswich Hospital, standing at 120 feet tall, you will sweep, zip and glide down the 100m line to the finish point.

We are looking for Super Heroes to take on the challenge (fancy dress encouraged)! Do something amazing to raise much needed funds for your chosen ward or department at Ipswich Hospital, or  support Felixstowe or Aldeburgh Hospital or Bluebird Lodge.

Are you brave enough to make the speedy decent?!

Participant requirements

All participants must be aged 18 or over, unless they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (a minimum age of 14 then applies). A teacher or youth leader acting in loco parentis is not adequate. The parent or legal guardian must complete a Parental Consent Form prior to the event and will need to remain within sight and earshot of the minor – this will normally mean that they need to be with the minor whilst they prepare and accompany their child as is reasonably practicable during their participation.

We do not recommend an upper age limit for participation although we would recommend that older individuals consult their doctor if they have any concerns about their health or ability.

We can accommodate people up to 18 stone in weight, but no more due to the restrictions on equipment and loads exerted, although they may need to be fitted with extra equipment for their comfort. Please let us know if you would like to participate and are over this weight limit, we will consult the team to see if it will be possible.
