Volunteer for Us

volunteerThe Ipswich Hospital Charity is a very small team and we welcome volunteers from all walks of life.  We are urgently looking for volunteers to help us in 2017 and have the following volunteer roles available:

By volunteering with us, you’ll get to do something new and rewarding, discover hidden talents, make new friends, boost your CV, and make a valuable contribution to our work. We are actively looking for volunteers from all walks of life, whether that is from schools, companies, retired people, or anyone with time on their hands looking to make a difference.

If you would like to volunteer with The Ipswich Hospital Charity, please call our Charity Office, on 01473 702929 and we will set up an informal interview (where necessary for the role) and help you volunteer with us.

Marketing Volunteer – Role VOL/IHC1702 (Approx 4 hours per week)

Supporting our Donor Engagement Officer by manning our brand new Charity Hub at the Heath Road site 10am -2.30pm, 1 day per week (if successful more often)

Lead Challenge Event Volunteer – Role VOL/IHC1703 (Approx 1 day per week – can be split across two ½ days – will involve some weekends to support event program throughout the year)
Supporting our Event Manager in sending out materials and promotional goods to event participants, helping with administration of our events program and assisting in recruiting and looking after additional volunteers for cheer points, collections and delivering on the day activities as part of our new events program.

Research Role  – Role VOL/IHC1704 (approx. 1 day per week – can be split to be two ½ days)

Supporting our Corporate, Trust & Foundation Manager by conducting early stage research both by phone and on-line

Research Role  – Role VOL/IHC1705 (approx. 1 day per week – can be split to be two ½ days)

Supporting our Community Manager by conducting early stage research of Groups and Associations both by phone and on-line.

Cheque Collectors – Role VOL/IHC1706 (ad hoc role – will involve weekends and evenings on dates throughout the year)

To support the team in attending cheque presentations at community events on behalf of the Charity.  Our volunteer will support the team and be trained in delivering key messages about the Charity.

Collections Volunteers – Role VOL/IHC1707 (at hoc role – dates available throughout the year)

To support the charity when collecting at supermarkets and events throughout the year

Event Volunteers – Role VOL/IHC1708 (ad hoc role – dates available throughout the year)

Supporting our Events Fundraising Officer at Ipswich Hospital Charity Events throughout the year.  This maybe by helping at registration points, selling cakes, cheering or handing out water to our event participants, selling merchandise etc. We are particularly in need of volunteers to support us during the Abseil on the late May bank holiday weekend and at our Walk for Wards event on 16 July.
