The Clothing & Toiletries for Patients Appeal has been launched asking for donations of clean clothing and new toiletries for patients who may have an unexpected stay in hospital.
For many people, a visit to hospital, especially the Emergency Department, is an unexpected trip so they don’t have time to pack a bag. The majority of patients have someone to bring more clothes and some basic toiletries in for them but there are lots which have no one to call.
These patients may have had items of clothing cut off or have had an unplanned admission amongst other reasons.
For those patients who don’t have any products with them we would like to offer them a small pack with everything they may need for their stay in hospital. Helping them feel clean and tidy and having their own products to do that with.
In order for people to ‘get up and go’ they need some clothes. We are asking people to donate clean and appropriate clothing for patients to wear to either go home in or get up and out of bed.
When? – Drop off on 31st August 2017, 8am to 3pm
Where? – Edith Cavell Room, The Education Centre, Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust
What? – We need items for both men and women in all sizes
